NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course

NRA Basic Rifle course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting. Includes classroom and range time, learning to properly handle and shoot a rifle. Students will learn: NRA rules for safe gun handling, rifle model parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, cleaning and continued opportunities for skill development. Rifles are available for shooting at no extra charge including: Bushmaster XM (.223 Remington), several Ruger 10/22’s and a Remington 700 (30-06). Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, Basic Rifle Course completion Certificate. This course needs to set up in advance as student materials must come from the NRA headquarters.

The cost for this course is $195 per person. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required.
