NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course

NRA Basic Shotgun course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use of a shotgun in target shooting. This course includes classroom and range time, learning to properly handle and shoot a shotgun. Students will learn: NRA rules for safe gun handling, shotgun model, parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, cleaning and continued opportunities for skill development. If you don’t have a shotgun, we have a few available at no extra cost. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, Basic Shotgun Course completion Certificate. Range exercises will include shooting at moving targets (clay Pigeons). Student to provide: Shotgun, minimum 50 rounds of shotgun ammunition #7 1/2 or #8 shot, owners manual, eye and ear protection, cleaning kit and storage case. This course needs to be set up in advance as student materials must come from the NRA headquarters.

The cost for this course is $175 per person. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required.
